Description

Indy 500 XE is a special version of Atari's Indy 500 game that includes tracks that were designed by AtariAge members in the Indy 500 XE Track Design Contest. Gustavo del Dago created a Windows track editor that allowed people to easily create new tracks, and 274 entries were submitted for the contest!

What's New

Features 16 new tracks that were chosen as part of the Indy 500 XE Track Design Contest, held on AtariAge in March, 2004. You can view snapshots of all the winning tracks by visiting the contest page. Compared to the original game, the tracks in this new version are double-resolution, allowing for more detailed and interesting levels.
