Impossible Mission - Box

DescriptionSubmit Description
In one of the most notorious game glitches of all time, the NTSC version of this game is actually impossible to beat! When they named this game, they weren’t kidding. Some of the pieces you need to complete the game were hidden under computer terminals, but the terminals cannot be searched. This was fixed with the PAL version, but one has to wonder how this affected the public’s opinion of the young system since this game was touted as one of the system’s first “Super Games”. This is unfortunate, because this game plays just as nicely as the Commodore 64 and Sega Master System versions. Impossible or not, not too many people could have beaten Impossible Mission anyway, as it combines difficult platform jumping, puzzle solving, split second reflexes and exploration all in one. Another nice aspect of the game is that it features several different layouts to vary your game playing experience (or to confuse you). Agent 4125 must find all of the key cards hidden throughout Professor Elvin Atombender’s secret hideout, fit them together, and use them to unlock his secret lair. A butt kicking will ensue. For those with a Cuttle Cart 2 or an emulator, a fixed version of the game can be downloaded at http://www.atari7800.org/emulation.htm. (Contributed by Cousin Vinnie Vineyard)
